15/05/2008 8.19.17 On last saturday I had to compete in a show-competition in a commercial-center for my team. I was really tired because I work hard all week and so I felt my leg "wooden". I jumped easy 2,20 and I was happy of that, because my agonistic-season will start on 6 June in Torino, even if I'll compete also on 24/25 of May on European Cup for Clubs. All the things are going well and so I'm happy to work and to prepare this season.

10/04/2008 8.11.49 I'm training for the Olimpic season in the best way, on this Sunday I'll go to Barcelona (Sant Cugat Del Vallès) at the "Centro di Alto Rendimento". One of the best place where train in High jump. I think the first competition will be the European Cup for Clubs at the end of May, I've 45 days more for train really hard !

12/02/2008 10.53.21 Sorry, I didn't update my website since December, but I wanted to wait to be certain of the problem that didn't let me jump this year. Unfortunalty the Italian's doctors take more than 2 months to know what I had... I asked for a TAC and I had a RMN where they found no particulary problem. I had a TAC in January ('cause I wanted it !) and we found a fracture of talus !! I made 2 infiltrations and now it seems it's all OK... But I'm asking myself: Why they didn't make me a TAC in November when I asked it ??? I throw away all indoor season for this. Of Friday I had my first jumps with all my run-up, my 1st competiton will be on 24/2 in Italian Championship.

22/11/2007 21.25.08 For the first time  I don't write something about my sport... I'm  really happy to tell that today  22 November at 21,25 is born my first daughter  Sofia !! Weight 2,875 Kg.  Length 52 cm. I want to say a big  "THANKS" to my wife Simona !!

06/09/2007 21.00.02 World Championship in Osaka : 2,26 - 16th in Qualification after jumped every high at 1st attempt till 2,29. I can't understand why the federal coach didn't see my sign correctly... after the competition I heard from my coach that I was always 30/40 cm over it… World Championship in Osaka are finished and now I've to continue... I'm not satisfied of this championship for 2 things: 1° I made a mistake to consider myself in the final after made 2,26 and alle the high before at 1st attempt. 2° our federal coach said me for all the competition that I was on my sign... but for my personal coach I was over it for 30/40 cm ! and I  verified it by video... I can't jump 2,30 so close to the bar ! But now I can't go back in time, but I'm very disappointed because don't happen every day to feel so good in a competition like that. Now I'll have some competitions in September, the last one on 30th in Palermo for Italian Championship for Clubs, after this will begin a new season : The Olympic One !

I upload in these days some pictures of Osaka, now I tell about it: Here the weather is very warm (36°) and very wet (yesterday 90% humidity): not ideal weather, but really better than Helsinki '05. I've not any particular problem about sleep: I go to bed regulary at 22,30 and wake up at 7,30. I trained every morning at the competition time (10,40). The track is hard and fast, but I had some good imprression in my last technical training on tuerdsay. Tomorrow 25/8 the starting cerimony of 11th Iaaf World Championship in Osaka. Qualify on 27 at 10,40 in Japan (3,40 In Italy)

18/08/2007 8.51.11 Today I start to Osaka Today I'll take a direct flight from Milano Malpensa to Osaka. I'll start from Milano at 15,15 and I'll arrive in Osaka at 10.00 a.m. (12 hours flight and 7 hours less than in Italy). The last month was really hard, I travelled for many differents doctors to solve my anckle problem...and finally it seems OK. With tape and Arcoxia 2 hours before jumps I don't feel any pain... The last technical training was really good...it doesn't happpened all day to go close to 2,30 in training ! Now I feel in the same condition of the European Cup... or better. I don't want to think to any result, because the qualify is always hard and I need to know how is to jump in Japan... But I'm sure of the works I done with my coach Orlando Motta and the possibility to do a great World Championship Qualify on 27 at 10,40 in Japan (3,40 In Italy)

04/08/2007 15.05.45 After Crete I felt some pain for a week. Yesterday I made a magnetic resonance and fortunatly there isn't great problems, but the mediacal staff don't let me to compete in Stockholm. I'm a bit angry 'cause I feel good, but I must stay at home... I can compete on 12 in Germany and after on 18 August I'll start to Osaka with my National team.

16/07/2007 15.04.07 After 2 very unlucky competitions (Ostrava with an anckle blocked and Losanna where I slidedin warm up) now I came back to jump high : 2,27 in Lignano and very close to 2,30 again. I'm sure to jump higher than 2,30 in Milano, because if I jump high in train, I'll jump higher in competition ! Now I'll compete in Crete and after at the Italian Championship in Padova

25/06/2007 12.05.43 SuperLeague I wrote about a great result and it came: 2,30  & victory in European Cup ! The best competition till this moment: I  wasn't ever been so close to 2,34 (at 3rd attempt I was on the pit before the bar felt down). To Win in European Cup in Italy and with my national team return in Superleague is really fantastic. I want to regreet everybody came to Milano to see me or follow me by TV Thank You ! Now I need to jump again this high or more: I've to start from here ! Osaka will be at the end of August !

13/06/2007 12.02.58 I finished the 1st group of 3 competitions: the average is standard on 2,24...  I feel that I need to make my foot quicklier for jump higher... I need to increase my condition, and it will grow only with competitions. I'm sure that soon will arrive results around 2,30...

09/03/2007 10.19.01 EUROPEAN Indoor CHAMPIONSHIP : 5° Place After 2,27 of Qual. I expected a great competiton in the Final, but I had some problems at 2,25. I was sure that like in Ancona, if I flyed over it I could have jumped also 2,29. I took a 5° place which is my better placement on an European Championship. Now I'll begin the work for outdoor season sure to have great possibility and I know that I'm getting better year by year.

I felt in a really good shape and after a really high 2,27 I preserve my energy for the final: Tomorrow everything could happen... And I'll be there ! 01/03/2007 23.29.52 EUROPEAN Indoor CHAMPIONSHIP Now We have the final start list : I'm in the 2nd group. The Qualif. Standart is 2,30 or the 1st 8 My competition so start on Saturday at 11,10 Local Time (12,10 CET). From this competition I don't want to expect anything : I'm sure to be in a good shape, so I know that I can do good things...but High Jump learns that is not often so easy to jump high...

18/02/2007 23.33.35 Italian Champion 1° with 2,29 in the Italian Championship in Ancora. I'm  very happy: Jump 2,30 last week and 2,29 means that I'm in a relly good shape and today I didn't jump very well, I was a bit down in the last part of the run, so I believe I can jump higher ! 2° Ciotti Nicola (2,27) and 3°Campioli (2,18) Now I don't jump more till European Championship in Birmingham (Gbr)

15/01/2007 9.58.45 After 10 days in Aosta (where  I trained with Petrov and Isinbayeva) I made the local competition in my town yesterday. It was OK with 2,23. I didn't expect much because I'm still training and I made it only like a intensive training. In Aosta I trained very well , even if I had a little injury on my left ankle, I went to Pavia to Dr. Benazzo and fortunatly he said that there will be no problems. Now I'll compete this Week-end in Hustopece (Cze), in Moravia High Jump Tour.

05/11/2006 9.42.14 After I spent 2 weeks of holiday in S.Domingo playing beach volley and relaxing and now I'm training again: I finished the 2 weeks introduction period and now I start to work hard. 30/09/2006 9.40.33 The season finished with the victory at Italian Championship for Club and another title for my team : Fiamme Gialle. The next year we'll compete again in the European Championship For Clubs.

14/08/2006 11.51.46 The European Championship close. I finish with an 11° place in the final that can't satisfy me. My shape was at the top of my carrier and so I expected a new PB. Unfortunatly I was too nervous in the competition and I can't axpress myself. Now I don't know where I'll compete, but I hope to find some very intersting competition where I can do important results

14/05/2006 15.16.12 Now is opening the outdoor season, I trained well and I feel good. The target for this year will be the European Championship in Goteborg. The first competition will be on 28/5 in Valencia (Spa) for the European Cup for Club, where last year me and my team (Fiamme Gialle) won for the first time the European title.

07/03/2006 15.15.09 2nd in European Indoor Cup with 2,26 the same results of winner Ukhov. At 2,28 I felt better than 2,26 and the jumps was good... I've only to be more relax in competiton and start sure to jump very high.  Now I'll spend a week of holiday and after start the works for the Outdoor season.
