I was born in
Bergamo (Italy) on il 6/10/1978
I moved the first steps in athletics when
I was 11. I was directed in running 'cause I thought to be fast and after I
tried high-jump, that was my favourite event where I made 1,30. When I began the
superior school I leave athletics for study, but when I was 16 I made 1,90 in
the school championship I decided to start train again. I started to jump higher
when I met my actually coach : Orlando Motta , who was the best referrence for
high-jump. I was junior and in the 2nd year I made 2,16, but a days later to
compete in European Yunior championship in Lubliana (Slo). In 1999 I made 2,23
(for the progression see CURRICULUM) and I compete in European U'23 championship
where I was out of the final with 13th place, in the same year I entered in
Fiamme Gialle, an Italian military team who gave me the possibility to be
professionist. In 2000 and a part of 2001 I was injuried (pubalgy). In the
indoor season of 2002, finally in a good shape, I stabilished the Italian Indoor
Record with 2,30 and competed in the European Indoor Championship of Wien. In
2003 I jumped 2,31 winning the Italian championship. In 2004 I planned my
wedding with my girfriend Simona on 23 September but I miss the Olimpic games.
In 2005 Indoor season the best success, for the moment, of my carrier with 2,30
and 6° place on European Championship...
